We arrived at the end of February 2024, preparing to serve at PQQ.
Our temporary home
Vianópolis is a small city surrounded by farms and fields. We will make our home among the Brazilian students training to be missionaries as we learn to speak Portuguese well enough to thrive in our future ministries.
We want to be able to work alongside our Brazilian co-workers and adapt to their culture and way of life. As we live with Brazilians and learn the language, we will become familiar with their values and ways of thinking. Our own patterns will need to adapt as we become a part of this international team.

Our Long Term Plan
After becoming competent in the language, we will serve at Puraquequara, filling the same type of roles that we filled at the Home Office. James will continue to serve in the area of technology, and Ely will keep serving through food service.
